Dear Brethern,
Our phones are very busy this morning, people wanting to know how to help. Hurricane Harvey has unleashed unprecedented damage in Texas, Louisiana and the Gulf coast region.
Churches of Christ Disaster Relief Effort is actively responding across the impacted areas. CCDRE Associate directors are on site in Texas and Louisiana helping congregations identify opportunities to assist those impacted by the storm. On Mondaymorning August 28, CCDRE sent 3 trucks to the area damaged by the eye of the storm. We are currently working on sending the next 3! Trucks are headed to Louisiana in the next few days and numerous trucks will be sent as the effects of the storm are assessed.
Many of you have asked how you can help!
God bless you for your hearts and interest in reaching out to those in need. We need your financial support! Because of our buying power and purchasing agreements, each dollar that CCDRE receives allows us to purchase three dollars in supplies. We anticipate that this event may be one of the largest
and costliest in CCDRE history. We will post activity here, and on our website:disasterreliefeffort.org.
